Sword Art Online Online REVIEW

Sword Art Online Online Art Online: Progressive – Aria of a Starless Night’ is the latest instalment in the Sword Art Online franchise, the first being Sword Art Online Online: The Movie: Ordinal Scale. Based on the novels by Reki Kawahara, the newest in the series is a fascinating watch.
The happenings in the film take place in the near future in a virtual reality world and the current instalment revolves around Asuna and Kirito. In this film, Akihiko Kayaba creates a virtual reality where people can log in to the game but can log out only if they have scaled 100 floors of Aincrad, the steel castle. Asuna in her quest to log out of the game, meets Kirito, a beta tester of the game who knows certain details about the game. The attention to little details that Kono has given to the film is just perfect. The three main characters – Asuna, Mito and Kirito have been well defined and carved out. This film allows its characters to bloom and this also means that ample time is devoted to fleshing out Asuna’s journey.
Another plus for the film is its music which keeps you invested in the proceedings. This animated adventure also deviates from the original material in the sense that it has been told from Asuna’s perspective which is not there in the original material. This added novelty actually appeals to viewers. The action scenes have been well executed and you get goosebumps at a few of those. The art direction with its breath-taking creation of the Aincrad castle is simply fabulous and it transports you to a world that is captivating. Now with K-Dramas in vogue, death games are now no more a novel concept but if something is done intelligently, people will flock to see it no matter what.
From the plot, it’s evident that the film makes no effort to gain new followers and this somehow maintains the purity and sanctity of the film. If you are an anime fan and have no time to watch the series on which this is based, the movie version is well worth the time.

Throughout the three previous novels belonging to the Harry Potter saga, the protagonist, Harry Potter, struggles with the difficulties brought about by his adolescence and by being a famous wizard. When Harry was a young child, Voldemort, the most powerful dark wizard in history, had murdered Harry’s parents, but had then mysteriously vanished after his murderous curse rebounded against Harry. The fact had caused Harry to gain instant fame and he was placed in the care of his Muggle uncles, Petunia and Vernon, who in turn had a son named Dudley Dursley.

Harry discovers that he is a wizard at the age of eleven and enters Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. There, he befriends Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger and clashes with Lord Voldemort, who repeatedly attempts to return to power. In Harry’s first year at school, he must protect the Philosopher’s Stone from Voldemort and one of his loyal retainers, a Hogwarts professor, from obtaining it.

After returning to school, after the summer holidays, the Hogwarts students suffer attacks due to the opening of the legendary “Chamber of Secrets”. Harry ends the attacks when he kills a basilisk and thwarts a new attempt by Lord Voldemort to regain his fortress. The following year, Harry discovers that he was the main target of an assassin on the run named Sirius Black. Despite the extreme security measures applied at Hogwarts, Harry meets Black at the end of his third year, and discovers that he is actually innocent and his godfather. He also discovers that Peter Pettigrew, the friend of Sirius and James Potter, had been the one who had betrayed his parents and handed him over to Voldemort.

The book begins with Harry Potter dreaming of Frank Bryce, the former gardener of the Riddle family mansion, who is discovered overhearing a conversation between a deformed Lord Voldemort and his servant, Peter Pettigrew. In Harry’s dream, Voldemort kills Bryce. Later in the summer, Harry, Hermione Granger, and the Weasley family travel to attend the Quidditch World Cup. There, the Death Eaters, Voldemort’s vassals, terrorize everyone, capture a family of Muggles and flee when they see the Dark Mark in the sky.

Albus Dumbledore announces during the welcoming banquet at Hogwarts that the school would be the site of the Triwizard Tournament, an inter-school competition. One student from each of three schools of magic would be chosen by the Goblet of Fire to compete in the tournament. The other two institutions of magic, Beauxbatons Academy and Durmstrang Institute, arrive at Hogwarts two months into the school year.

The champions Goblet of Fire chooses are Fleur Delacour from Beauxbatons, Viktor Krum from Durmstrang, and Cedric Diggory from Hogwarts. Mysteriously, Harry is also chosen, even though he had not entered his name. Ron Weasley becomes furious with him, as he thought Harry had found a way in without telling him, and stops talking to him.

The new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher is Alastor “Mad-Eye” Moody, a former Auror and friend of Dumbledore. In class, he illegally teaches and demonstrates to his students the three unforgivable curses:  imperius , which forces the victim to submit to the will of the perpetrator; cruciatus , a spell used to torture the victim; and the killing hex,  avada kedavra . Harry discovers that he is the only person who has ever survived the killing curse, which Voldemort had placed on him when he was a baby.

The first of the three tests of the Triwizard Tournament involves catching a golden egg protected by a dragon. Harry completes the task thanks to the previous help of Rubeus Hagrid and Moody. After the test, Ron and Harry make amends, as Ron, seeing the mortal danger his friend was in, realizes that it was true that he had not entered his name in the goblet. . Then, Minerva McGonagall surprises the students by telling them that there will be a Ball on Christmas Day. Harry asks Cho Chang to be her date, but she tells him that she was already engaged to Cedric Diggory.

Finally, Harry attends with Parvati Patil, and Ron, after being rejected by Fleur Delacour, attends with Padma Patil (Parvati’s twin sister). Ron gets very angry when he sees that Hermione is Viktor Krum’s partner, and he is so jealous that he hurts Hermione and treats Krum badly.

Harry goes out into the courtyard for a while with Ron, and they see Karkarof and Snape hurriedly talking about something that “is darker” (the Dark Mark on Karkarof’s arm), and they also discover that Hagrid is a half-giant, which causes him a fight with Madame Maxime, as she does not want to claim that she is a half-giant as well.

Months later, Harry decides to follow Cedric’s advice and go to the Prefects’ bathroom to discover the riddle of the egg. He opens it underwater and listens to the song of some beings. Myrtle helps him, and Harry finds out that they are the mermaids from the lake, and that they took something of his. and they see Karkarof and Snape talking hastily about something that “is darker” (the Dark Mark on Karkarof’s arm), and they also discover that Hagrid is a half-giant, which causes him to have a fight with Madame Maxime since she doesn’t he wants to affirm that he is semi-giant as well.

Then Harry decides to follow Cedric’s advice and go to the Prefects’ bathroom to discover the riddle of the egg. He opens it underwater and listens to the song of some beings. Myrtle helps him, and Harry finds out that they are the mermaids from the lake, and that they took something of his. Myrtle helps him, and Harry finds out that they are the mermaids from the lake, and that they took something of his. Harry decides to follow Cedric’s advice and go to the Prefects’ bathroom to discover the riddle of the egg.

The second trial requires the recovery of something very important that had been taken from each champion and hidden in the Hogwarts lake. Ten minutes before the test, Dobby the house-elf hands Harry a gill kelp that allows him to breathe underwater. Harry finds the four “important objects” of each tournament participant: Ron, Hermione, Cho Chang, and Fleur’s younger sister, Gabrielle Delacour. He is forced to rescue Gabrielle along with Ron since Fleur doesn’t show up, so he fails the test but gains extra points for her “moral quality of hers”.

Rita Skeeter, a reporter for the Daily Prophet, throughout the school year he writes many lies about Harry, Hagrid (he reveals that he is the son of a giantess and thus a half-giant), and Hermione, who is on friendly terms with Viktor Krum. Skeeter arranges secret interviews with Slytherin students to get testimonials to back up his stories, but no one can figure out how he gets such secret information.

At first, Harry suspects that Rita has an Invisibility Cloak, but Hermione knows that Moody would be able to see through the cloak with her magic eye. Harry then thinks the reporter might be bugged in the school, but Hermione explains that the electricity doesn’t work at Hogwarts because there’s too much magic in the air. Towards the end of the book, Hermione finally realizes Skeeter’s plan: She is an unregistered Animagus who can transform into a beetle. Harry and Ron realize that there was a beetle in the places where the things that Rita later discovered happened and that the Slytherins were aware of everything. Finally, Hermione catches Skeeter when she is in the form of a beetle, locks her in a jar and does not release her until the train reaches London, under threat of informing the authorities of her status as an illegal animagus if she writes stories about them again. .

One night, Harry and Krum bump into Barty Crouch, Sr., a member of the Ministry. Crouch is very upset and demands to see Dumbledore. Harry runs to find him, but when he returns to him, they find Krum unconscious and Crouch missing. Harry learns more about the Crouch family when he sees one of Dumbledore’s keepsakes in the Pensieve, a pot used to store memories. In the flashback, Death Eater Barty Crouch, Jr. is sent to Azkaban by his father for helping Bellatrix Lestrange torture Frank and Alice Longbottom, Neville’s parents, into insanity.

The third and final test of the tournament consists of a labyrinth full of magical obstacles. Harry and Cedric manage to reach the center of the maze together, lending each other aid. They reach the Cup and decide to take it at the same time, so that they are both the winners.

However, the cup turns out to be a Portkey that transports them to an old graveyard in Little Hangleton, where they see Pettigrew and a deformed Lord Voldemort. Pettigrew kills Cedric immediately and ties Harry to the grave of Riddle, Voldemort’s father. He then uses a bone from the grave, a few drops of Harry’s blood, and Harry’s own severed hand to concoct a magical potion that gives Voldemort a new body.

Voldemort gathers the Death Eaters and reveals that one of his vassals, at Hogwarts, had made sure that Harry entered the Tournament, won it, and was then led to the graveyard. Harry tries to disarm Voldemort with the Expelliarmus spell at exactly the same time his opponent uses the Killing Curse. Since the wands are twins, the two spells collide and prevent each from reaching its destination: a bond is created between the two and Voldemort’s wand begins to show the last spells he had performed, mostly murders. Shadows of Voldemort’s most recent victims appear in the graveyard, including Cedric, James Potter, and Lily Potter. The shadows protect Harry and allow him to escape, along with Cedric’s body, back to Hogwarts, leaving an enraged Voldemort behind.

Harry, carrying Cedric’s body, returns to the school grounds. Moody takes Harry by the arm and leads him into his office, where he reveals that he is Voldemort’s vassal and tries to kill Harry. Dumbledore, Severus Snape, and Minerva McGonagall stop him just in time, and then the Headmaster gives Veritaserum, the truth potion, to Moody, who is actually Barty Crouch, Jr.. Crouch had escaped from Azkaban and, during the last year, he had been using Polyjuice Potion to impersonate the real Alastor Moody, who is found kidnapped and locked in a trunk. Cornelius Fudge, the Minister for Magic, arrives at Hogwarts but refuses to believe Dumbledore and Harry when they tell him that Voldemort has returned.

While Harry is in the hospital wing, Sirius arrives to see his godson and shakes hands with Snape. Hermione then catches a beetle, which turns out to be Rita Skeeter, the obnoxious journalist who plagued Harry all year by distorting her words in interviews.

Harry is declared the winner of the Triwizard Tournament and is awarded a thousand galleons as a prize. A few days later, Dumbledore makes a speech at the farewell banquet, mourning Cedric’s death and telling everyone the truth about Voldemort. Back in London, at King’s Cross station, and after Cedric’s parents had refused to accept the money, Harry gives Fred and George Weasley the prize of a thousand galleons, so they can open a store. pranks and he returns to the Dursleys’ house for another mind-blowing summer

information On Leslie Jones | on her badass

information On Leslie Jones

information On Leslie Jones TheThe HBO Max pirate comedy Our Flag Means Death starts out slow and accelerates fast. And a key part of its pivot from small-scale What We Do in the Shadows-style humor about inept, self-important sailors to a bigger, broader story arrives when Saturday Night Live veteran Leslie Jones shows up as Spanish Jackie, the undisputed queen of the Republic of Pirates. The story is based on the real-life partnership between Blackbeard (Thor: Ragnarok director Taika Waititi) and “gentleman pirate” Stede Bonnet (Rhys Darby), but the show’s aesthetic leans hard into the larger-than-life pop-culture idea of pirates, complete with grand adventures, grotesque violence, and swashbuckling style.

information On Leslie Jones

Jones tells Newsahi that this image of pirates was a big part of the appeal in taking the role. “My agent sent it over and said, ‘They’re really interested in having you play this pirate,’” she says. “I was like, ‘Oh, I’m on!’ As soon as they said ‘pirate,’ I was like, ‘Are you kidding me? I get to wear pirate boots? Yes, for sure.’ They told me ‘Spanish Jackie has a wooden hand and like 20 husbands.’ I was like, ‘Sign me up, I’ll do this for free!’”

And sure enough, she did get those pirate boots she signed on for: “I got nice Rick James boots,” she cackles. “The ones that go up to the knee.”

Spanish Jackie, who first shows up in episode 3 and memorably re-emerges as the season’s plotlines coalesce, is a ruthless bar owner with a longstanding grudge against one of Stede’s sailors. Fred Armisen plays Geraldo, her head bartender and one of her many hapless husbands. When a few sailors from the main cast re-enter Jackie’s life and her bar, she gets a grand entrance, complete with her own ominous theme music and a slow, dramatic zoom in to the table where she’s lurking in darkness. Later, Stede is introduced to the jar of severed noses she keeps on the bar, a testament to how many enemies she’s taken down.

“I got to be an all-around badass,” Jones says. “I’ve always wanted to play a girl who is tough as a dude. I got to smoke cigars, to intimidate dudes. People have to be scared of me. I love that. I’ve always wanted to play a woman like that. A swashbuckling woman on the bad side? A thief, who gets to run stuff, and men fear her, and then she’s still charming enough to have 20 husbands? And she gets to look good, too? I love it! I love that she isn’t some dirty pirate woman. She’s like ‘Oh, nah, nah. Y’all can look good? So can I. Where you go and get your velvet? I go and get mines, you know?’”

Jones has been performing stand-up since the 1980s, but she’s also been all over the entertainment field. She’s appeared in movies like Trainwreck and Coming 2 America, and co-starred in Paul Feig’s 2016 take on Ghostbusters. She hosts the ABC game show Supermarket Sweep, and recently released a new Netflix comedy special marking her 50th birthday. In 2014, she became the oldest performer hired to the Saturday Night Live cast, and she stayed with the show for five years. She’s built an entire fandom around her Twitter persona and her live Twitter and Instagram reactions to movies and sports events, including the Olympic Games. But she says it’s still rare for her to get roles like Spanish Jackie, where she’s being asked to play a character instead of a version of herself.

“This pirate thing was different for me because they really was asking me to act,” she says. “I like to do stuff that makes me come out of whatever people expect. So I do look for projects like that.”

For Jackie’s introduction episode, Jones worked with Nacho Vigalondo, director of Timecrimes, the kaiju movie Colossal, and the Blumhouse movie Pooka! “I loved him,” she says. “He was such a good director. The thing I loved about him and [creator and showrunner] David Jenkins is — they came up to me like, ‘We love Leslie Jones, we’re so glad Leslie Jones is here. But we want Spanish Jackie when those cameras come on.’ And I was just like, ‘Yes, I love that!’ Because most times, people are like, ‘Oh, just put some Leslie Jones on it!’ And I’m like, ‘No, I want to play the character. Because that’s what’s gonna broaden my portfolio.’”

Still, Jones says there was room for improv on the set. “You cannot have me and Fred Armisen on a set and not improv. There’s just no not doing that. […] It was so easy to go back and forth with Fred, because he would pick up on what I was doing, I would pick up on what he was doing, it was insane. And then the other actors, I got so many pointers where I was like, ‘Oh, damn, that is — oh, I didn’t know that — OK, that’s how you — wow, this is really good stuff!’”

Part of what she learned on the Our Flag Means Death set, she says, was just about playing action scenes — how to cheat a knife strike at another actor’s face so it looks good for the camera, how to lunge and fall in realistic ways. “The stunt dude that taught us our moves was frickin’ sensational. Steve was off the chain. There was times when I was like, ‘How’s he gonna make this look real?’ And he’d say ‘Just fall this way.’ He would do every move first. He made me look like I could fight.”

But some of the better suggestions she got from Vigalondo were about evoking power with minimal movement and action. “The note I most loved was, ‘You don’t have to lean in so they can hear you. You stay where you are, and they lean into you so you can hear them,’” she says. “‘You don’t have to ask for something — you look at them, and they give it to you, because you’re Spanish Jackie. You won wars. You’ve fought battles. You don’t have to answer to nobody. Commanders are scared of you.’ I was like, ‘Dope.’ He’s telling me this, and my back is getting straighter the whole time. I love it.”

Not that Leslie Jones has any trouble portraying confidence and strength. She’s stood tall and kept her poise through a number of high-profile public battles over the past few years, particularly in the wake of Feig’s Ghostbusters, which turned her into a target for racist and sexist trolls. The harassment campaign that temporarily drove her off Twitter was a bad look for the site, which updated its policies and wound up banning alt-right figure Milo Yiannopoulos for his role in the campaign against her. In retaliation, her attackers hacked her website to dox her and post inflammatory pictures. The online war boosted her profile and drew her widespread support, but has also kept her in the spotlight for exasperating reasons that have nothing to do with her comedy or her career.

Asked whether these kinds of public battles have affected her career choices or the roles she takes, though, she just laughs.

“Let me tell you something about me,” Jones tells NEWSAHI. “I’m 54 years old. The battles that I fight in this business ain’t shit compared to what I’ve come from. To make it to where I am, I have fought battles that make those battles look like bitches. […] Nah, I’ve seen things and done things and been places. These new battles don’t so much shape me as inform me of what to do. It doesn’t make me fearful, because I know who I am. I know what I am. I know what I can give.

“And I know I’m not perfect, but I know I’m the shit. You’re not going to tell me better than what the fuck I say in my head. I don’t believe you, I believe me. So people can throw what the fuck they want at me. I love it. I’m a comedian. Do you know how bad I’ve been talked about? When people say stuff about me, I’ll be like, ‘That wasn’t even a good one.’ I want to answer them, like, ‘You know what you could have said that would have been really funny?’”

What does affect her choice of roles, though, is any chance she sees to stretch and surprise people. “I do like to do things they don’t expect me to do. I like to be vulnerable when they don’t expect it. Everybody hears ‘Leslie Jones’ and thinks, ‘Oh, she’s funny.’ Yeah, I’m funny, because I am a comedian. But I also can do dramatic. I want to be a serial-killer character. I want to do everything. I’m not just one base. But you do have to show people first. So that’s how I pick projects. I go, ‘OK, I’ve done Coming 2 America, I’ve done the SNL-type thing. Now let me do something different.’”

There are limits to what she’s willing to do though, even to play a badass, swashbuckling pirate who intimidates and bullies the star of the series. “I don’t know about going on a ship,” she says. “But you know, baby steps.”

And she isn’t angry that she didn’t get a parrot to complete her pirate look. “I don’t want no damn pirate parrot,” she says. “I was like, ‘Can I get, like, a little sidekick or something?’ But no parrot. No. ’Cause I’m one of those people that actually know about birds. Birds are evil.
